The three-match series between Pakistan and Afghanistan will take place before the Asia Cup, and both teams are eager to polish their pre-tournament preparations. Rashid decided to skip the Hundred after playing in the Major Cricket League in order to take some time off for his back ailment. Rashid was rested in the one-match Test series against Bangladesh owing to a back problem and rejoin the side in the white-ball series.

In the realm of cricket, every journey begins with a spark of hope, and for Team Asadullah, the upcoming Asia Cup stands as a beacon of aspirations. The words of Asadullah, the team's captain, resonate with confidence as he asserts, "We have lots of hope before going to the Asia Cup, and if we can win the game, that will be very good for our players' morale." "The fast bowling attack and the spinners have high hopes for us. Additionally, as a batting unit, we are optimistic that the players who are now out of form will get better for both the Asia Cup and the Pakistan series.

The good news is that everyone is in excellent physical condition, is quite content, and is striving to perform well. As a batting and bowling unit, "That ODI series triumph against Bangladesh gives us tonnes of confidence. We triumphed in Bangladesh, indicating that our preparation was excellent. Our coach, Jonathan, and his staff are no doubt putting a lot of effort into correcting some of the faults we made there, he added.
